Product Description

HOVACO Flexible Stone & Slab Adhesive C2TES1 is a high-performance, polymer-modified, flexible cement-based adhesive specially designed for fixing large format tiles, porcelain slabs, and natural stones in critical and highly stressed applications.
Thanks to its high deformability (S1), extended open time, and excellent adhesion, it is ideal for substrates subject to movement, thermal variations, and vibration such as heated floors, facades, swimming pools, and industrial floors.

This product complies with EN 12004 Class C2TES1 and EN 12002 for deformability.

Applications:

Suitable for fixing:

  • Large format porcelain slabs
  • Natural stone (marble, granite, travertine non-moisture sensitive)
  • Thin porcelain panels
  • Glass mosaic (with suitable substrate preparation)

Typical substrates:

  • Concrete and reinforced concrete
  • Cement screeds and heated floors
  • Existing ceramic tiles (tile-on-tile)
  • Facades and balconies
  • Swimming pools and wet areas
  • Industrial and commercial floors

For interior and exterior floors and walls.

  • Substrates must be structurally sound, clean, and free from dust, oil, grease, and loose particles.
  • Cracked or unstable substrates should be treated with suitable reinforcement systems.
  • For highly absorbent or critical substrates, apply appropriate HOVACO primers.
  • Ensure flatness suitable for large format tiles.
  • Mix 25 kg of powder with 7-8 liters of clean water using a low-speed mixer.
  • Mix until a smooth, lump-free, creamy consistency is obtained.
  • Allow the mix to rest for 3-5 minutes, then remix.
  • Apply adhesive on the substrate using a suitable notched trowel.
  • For large format tiles and slabs, apply the double-buttering method (on substrate and tile back).
  • Place tiles within the open time and press firmly to ensure full contact.

Coverage

Approx. 3 – 5 kg/m2 depending on tile size, slab thickness, and trowel notch.

Storage & Shelf Life

Store in dry conditions on pallets, protected from moisture.
