Product Description

HOVACO Tile adhesive C1 is a high-quality cement-based adhesive designed for the installation of ceramic tiles on interior and exterior substrates. It provides reliable bonding strength, easy workability, and good water retention, making it suitable for standard residential and commercial applications.

This product is formulated to meet the requirements of EN 12004 Class C1 and is ideal for fixing ceramic wall and floor tiles on concrete, cement plaster, screeds, and masonry surfaces.

Applications:

Substrates:

  • Concrete
  • Cement plaster
  • Cement screeds
  • Masonry
  • Cement block walls
  • The substrate must be clean, dry and free from dust, oil, grease and loose particles.
  • Highly absorbent surfaces should be lightly dampened before application.
  • Uneven surfaces should be leveled with suitable HOVACO repair mortars.
  • Mix 25 kg of powder with 6-7 liters of clean water using a low-speed mixer.
  • Mix until a homogeneous, lump-free mortar is obtained.
  • Allow to rest for 3-5 minutes, then remix briefly.
  • Apply the adhesive using a notched trowel
  • Place tiles within the open time and press firmly to ensure full contact.

Coverage

Approx. 4 – 6 kg/m2 depending on tile size and trowel notch.

Storage & Shelf Life

Store in a dry place on pallets, protected from moisture.
Shelf life: 12 months from production date in unopened original packaging.
